Job Openings For Black Actors With "Natural-Looking" Hair to Star in New Series With Forest Whitaker

Forest Whitaker

Job openings are now available for actors, models, and other talent to work on scenes filming with Forest Whitaker for his upcoming series called Godfather of Harlem, between September 2018 through March 2019 in New York City.
Casting directors and producers are seeking people to portray 1963 African American residents of Harlem. Men must be okay with getting a 1960's haircut, if necessary. Everyone must be okay working around smoke. No dreads, no braids, no extensions, only "natural-looking" hair colors.

Godfather of Harlem will air on Epix, and will tell the true story of crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Whitaker), who in the early 1960's returned after 10 years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles.

With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy takes on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X, catching his political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart.
